Intraop Medical and its Manufacturing Partners begin delivery of Mobetrons to Europe and Asia

[December 2003]  Intraop Medical, and its manufacturing partner CDS Group of Fremont, California (CDS Group), are gearing up for a strong demand for Mobetrons in 2004. The partnership has already delivered the first Mobetrons to Europe (see accompanying stories re: Jagiellonian University and Catharina Ziekenhuis), and plans to deliver the first Mobetron and the first commercial IORT treatment system to China early in 2004.

“We have found strong interest in IORT and the Mobetron in Europe and Asia”, says Don Goer, President and CEO of Intraop Medical, Inc. “We expect the demand to increase as more hospitals integrate IORT into their early stage breast treatment programs”. Victor Smith, President of CDS Group, the major manufacturing partner of Intraop Medical added, “Now that we have delivered and Intraop has successfully tested and installed our first two manufactured Mobetrons systems, we are confident we can pace our production to keep up with the growth in order demands.”

The partnership between CDS Group and Intraop Medical is working well to provide Mobetrons, state-of-the-art cancer treatment systems, to hospitals throughout the world.
